I bought some electronic equipment from a man in Media PA who on his website said he had been stationed at Eniwetak in the 1960s. So I googled Eniwetak, my father was in the amphibious landings there in February of ’44, and found a strange bit of trivia. A famous hangman had died there in 1950.
In 1950, John C. Woods, who executed the Nazi war criminals convicted at the Nuremberg Trials, was accidentally electrocuted here, and he died as a result.
