A few weeks ago I put up a post about the great banjo player Roger Sprung, who lives over in Newtown. It is only about 35 minutes from here and I have driven through it 100 times.

None of us can not even imagine how horrible the situation is there and how terribly sad it is for not only those families who lost children and loved ones but those lives who have been directly touched so deeply by the tragedy.

I was brought up in a family who respected guns and their proper use. Connecticut has strict gun laws and yet only one of our elected officials says it is time to change the laws that govern semi automatic weapons. Here is my small voice to support Mike Bloomberg’s position. I believe in 1992 the ban on semi automatic weapons was lifted because of extreme political pressure. It’s time to bring that reasonable law back in my humble opinion.

I think this is the first post in which I have expressed a controversial political opinion so mark it down as an editorial and not as a news item.
